Wanting to give a huge shout out to a young man, starting his own business, struggling to start his first ever business, and something just told me? I guess it was the realization from that little voice from the great man upstairs.

Why not give him a try? 

He’s a jack of all trades and master of none, starting his own landscaping, maintenance, repair, and replacement company, he’s not licensed nor insured (but he would like to be and he’s working on that ) but he certainly has a heart of gold, and a willingness to work, kind of an odd commodity these days.

I guarantee you, he will not stand you up.

He’s a young man who strives for excellence, who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, believes wholeheartedly, that there’s always a better way, God’s way, no matter the difficulty, no matter the task, the job, the hours, and the demanding endless “to do list” of a “Handyman”

Going to post pictures of a serious problem that I had with a rental property I own, and God knew I had something weighing very heavy on my heart, and lo and behold came Brandon Silvers …

I had wet and dry rot, I had a tree that partially came down, I had one heck of a mess on my hands, and this young man, who incorporated his two young sons, 14 and 15 years of age, on their summer break, he took them under his wings and taught them what a man, a father, someone who is present, accountable, responsible, dependable, respectable… taught his sons how to break a sweat, lift a hammer, how to do manual work, from seven in the morning until seven at night. 

and those boys never complained one bit, nor did they take breaks!

It’s what my father, and my children’s father also taught their children, how to do real work, the skills that they don’t really teach you in school, at least not anymore.

So— if you’re looking for a handyman, like the kind that used to be around back in the day?

And he is so reasonable, very timid to even ask for what his time, knowledge, and effort that goes into each project is worthy of, I’m glad I took that chance, I’m grateful I listened to that little voice, and he’s doing exceptional work. And we are not finished yet!!

I did not know him from Adam, just have seen him around the neighborhood with his children, he and his wife have seven.

I can’t express the importance of showing trust in someone’s capabilities that empowers them to do more.  It’s in our nature of trusting, believing in someone’s potential, full potential that can motivate them to perform at their very best.

Here are some “before, during, and after photos” still not quite done, almost and would’ve had more after photos? But the torrential downpour thunder storm slipped in on Brandon just now. 

He has done an excellent job for me, has answered all of my questions, concerns, my likes and dislikes, he’s had great advice, ideas, and didn’t mind at all and he certainly didn’t mind having  to redo a thing or two because I changed my mind in the midstream … he listened, follow direction, stayed focus, and on task. 

I’ve kept him busy, I had quite the long list of “to do’s” and he has met each and every one of them with outstanding results 👏👏🙌

Thank you Brandon Silvers for your hard work, dedication, determination, and the willingness to hold out for the light at the end of the tunnel by seeing all of my “mini projects” through to the very end.
